Series of 2 workshops both given on a Friday on January 5th and 12th. Each workshop is 1hr 15 min. Signing up for both workshops is required because the projects will be completed during the 2nd one.

Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This sādhanā (practice) is known in Sanskrit as japa. Malas are typically made with 18, 27, 54 or 108 beads.
We will start with some collaborative paintings that will be used to make the beads.

All visits at the museum are open to everyone. They are informal and free.
This time we will look at the new exhibition called "The Utopian Projects" by the collaborative work from Ilya and Emilia Kabakov. I don't know them and I don't know their work, and we will discover what they have to offer together. I like to be surprised.
We will talk about our experiences during and after the visit. It is highly recommended to participate in this visit if you intend to take either of the workshops on October 13.
